  • Welcome to All Things In SL Community (Coming Soon in Late February or Early March 2026)

This is a community space created by and for Second Life residents. We have no official connection to Linden Lab—just a shared love for life in SL.

Keep an eye out here, or join our in-world group, "All Things In SL," founded by Metara Rune, for more information as it becomes available.

    Why Another Community Site?

Second Life already has wonderful spaces online. Primfeed is perfect for your daily social feed. The official Linden Lab community forums are the go-to for technical questions about scripting, building, and platform issues. We're not trying to replace either.

What we offer is something different: a home for long-form content and deeper conversation. Think of it as your Second Life lifestyle hub.

    What You'll Find Here

    • Blogs — Everyone gets one. Share your SL journey, creations, or adventures.
    • Forums — Focused on life in Second Life, not just how to build it.
    • Galleries — Show off your photography and videos.
    • Groups (Clubs) & Messaging — Connect with residents who share your interests.
    • And Much More to come.

    How to Join

Registration requires a Second Life account and happens in-world. This keeps our community exclusively for residents.

We're powered by Invision Community—the same platform Linden Lab uses for their official forums—so if you've used theirs, you'll feel right at home.

We hope you'll make this yours.

We're not quite open yet, but we will be soon. When we launch, I'll announce it here and spread the word in-world. And just to be clear: this is a passion project, not a business. It will always be free.

    Thanks,
    Drew Hart

P.S. — If you look me up in-world, don't let my rez date fool you. I've been wandering the grid for about 18 years now; I just like a fresh start every so often. My first avatar is long retired, but my love for SL isn't going anywhere.)

A quick note on the name: "All Things In SL" (allthingsinsl.com and allthingsinsl.community) is dedicated entirely to Second Life. I also run allthingsin.com, which is a separate project focused on the real world. Same creator, different worlds.  Right now, the only active site is allthingsinsl.community - the other sites are in progress.

    Community Rules

    1. Keep It Second Life All content must relate to Second Life. Discussing politics? It should be about organizing a virtual rally or in-world governance. Talking religion? Perhaps you're sharing experiences from a virtual church or spiritual community. Real-world topics are welcome only when they connect back to life on the grid.

    2. Respect Is Non-Negotiable No hate speech. No harassment. No doxing—ever. Treat fellow residents the way you'd want to be treated at your favorite in-world hangout.

    3. Disagree With Grace Civil debate is not only allowed—it's encouraged. Some of the best conversations come from differing viewpoints. Think debate club, not bar fight. Challenge ideas, not people.

    4. Stay R-Rated, Not X-Rated This is a mature community, but not an adult one. Nudity or strong language may appear when central to the discussion—an artistic photo, a review of an adult venue, a quoted conversation. Gratuitous use of either is not permitted. Pornographic content is never allowed.

    5. Frame It Positively Instead of "I hate how laggy this place is," try "I love venues that optimize for performance." Focus on what you enjoy, what you're looking for, or what works well. It keeps conversations constructive.

    6. No Spam or Self-Promotion Flooding Share your creations, events, and venues—that's part of what we're here for. But don't turn every post into an advertisement. Contribute to conversations, don't just broadcast.

    7. Protect Privacy Never share another person's real-life information, private IMs, or personal conversations without their explicit consent. What happens in IMs stays in IMs unless everyone involved agrees otherwise.

    8. Moderation Is Final All moderation decisions are at the sole discretion of site admins and moderators and do not require explanation. That said, we'll always try to provide feedback when possible. Our goal is a thriving community, not gotcha enforcement.

Note: Many residents have multiple avatars, and that's perfectly fine here. You're welcome to have a separate community account for each avatar you actively use.
